Natural Coconut Bowl - Polished
Our natural coconut bowls, polished inside and out, are hand made by skilled fair trade artisans in Quezon, Philippines. Sustainably crafted from coconut shell, with a smooth, glossy texture, these eco-friendly coconut bowls are perfect for breakfast bowls, desserts, using as plant pots, and so much more. Because each coconut bowl is organic and natural, sizes, shapes and patterns vary slightly with every bowl - something we personally love.

Care instructions
Avoid extreme heat (not for use in oven or microwave).
Hand-wash only with non-abrasive soap.
To be polished after 10-15 washes with food-grade coconut oil.
We recommend 3 to 4 layers of polishing inside, which is the optimum amount to make the bowl shine but maintain its strength. If there’s not enough polishing, there won’t be enough moisture and the coconut material will revert to its original texture.

Social & Environmental Impact
Our food-grade coconut bowls have an incredible impact – not only do they save millions of coconut shells from being wasted and thrown into landfill each year, but they're 100% natural, free of BPA, contain no toxins or plastics, and are extremely safe for you and the environment.
By investing in our coconut bowls, you’re also supporting a fair trade collective of female artisans based in Quezon, Philippines. The collective, Mapayapa (meaning ‘peaceful’ in Filipino’) first began in 1999 on Alabat Island. They began making cute cutlery and accessories out of coconut husks, abundant in their region. They have four main female craftmakers, mostly composed of mothers who support their children. Through the fair trade initiative, under guidance by the NGO Aspiring Citizens for Community Empowerment, Inc (ACCEI-Philippines), the community continues to be self-sufficient.
